In this podcast I interview Dr Julian Bolleter about urban development, bush fires, bio-diversity, suburban sprawl, densification, urban trends since the COVID 19 pandemic, and the role urban professionals play in Dactualising equilibrium between nature, development and culture.

Dr Julian Bolleter is a researcher and teacher at UWA’s School of Design and Co-Director of the Australian Urban Design Research Centre (AUDRC) where he delivers commissioned research for state government planning departments, writing urban design/city-related books, conducting urban design projects, and teaching an urban design course.

Dr Bolleter’s current research interests are new city development, urban infill development, and the design of multifunctional public open space. His most recent collaboration with Dr Cristina Ramalho has resulted in the publication of their book:
